TheADV7604isahighquality,singlechip,multiformatvideodecoder,graphicsdigitizerwithanintegrated4:1multiplexedHigh-DefinitionMultimediaInterface(HDMI™)receiver.

TheADV7604containsonemaincomponentprocessor(CP)thatprocessesYPrPbandRGBcomponentformats,includingRGBgraphics.TheCPalsoprocessesthevideosignalsfromtheHDMIreceiver.TheADV7604canoperateinquadHDMIandanaloginputmode,thusprovidingsimultaneousHDMIandanalogvideosyncprocessing.ThisallowsforfastswitchingbetweenHDMIandtheADCs.

TheADV7604supportsthedecodingofacomponentRGB/YPrPbvideosignalintoadigitalYCrCborRGBpixeloutputstream.Thesupportforcomponentvideoincludes525i,625i,525p,625p,720p,1080i,1080p,and1250istandardsaswellasmanyotherHDandSMPTEstandards.

GraphicsdigitizationisalsosupportedbytheADV7604.TheADV7604iscapableofdigitizingRGBgraphicssignalsfromVGAtoUXGAratesandconvertingthemintoadigitalRGBorYCrCbpixeloutputstream.

TheADV7604incorporatesaquadinputHDMI1.3-compatiblereceiverthatsupportsallHDTVformatsupto1080panddisplayresolutionsuptoUXGA(1600×1200at60Hz).ThereceptionofencryptedvideoispossiblewiththeinclusionofHDCP.TheHDMIreceiveralsoincludesprogrammable/adaptiveequaliza-tionthatensuresrobustoperationoftheinterfacewithcablelengthsupto30meters.TheHDMIreceiverhasadvancedaudiofunctionality,suchasamutecontrollerthatpreventsaudibleextraneousnoiseintheaudiooutput.

FabricatedinanadvancedCMOSprocess,theADV7604isprovidedinaspace-saving,260-ball15mm×15mmBGAsurface-mount,RoHS-compliantpackageandisspecifiedoverthe−40°Cto+70°Ctemperaturerange.
